Successful partnership

The Austrian private brewery Zwettl has made its bottling plant fit for the future. And it has opted for high-performance HEUFT equipment for quality checking and inspection in the wet part of the line.
“With the commissioning and presentation of our new bottle filling plant, we are now more fit for purpose and future-oriented than ever before,” says Heinz Wasner happily. “And we owe this not least to our partnership! In the course of the project, we worked together to find ways and means of getting our filling lines on the right track. We are proud of what we have achieved together.”
For the brewmaster of the private brewery Zwettl Karl Schwarz GmbH, this applies in particular to the partnership with HEUFT AUSTRIA GMBH from Leobersdorf. The latter integrated the equipment for in-line quality assurance into the modern plant, where up to 36,000 bottles of the Zwettl brewery's beers and soft drinks are filled every hour, and successfully commissioned it:
- A HEUFT InLine II IR now performs all-surface empty bottle inspection there.
- A HEUFT SPECTRUM II VX checks the fill level after filling, inspects the closures and implements comprehensive filler and closer management.
- Another HEUFT SPECTRUM II VX performs an additional full bottle check behind the labelling machine – and uses three HEUFT reflexx A.I. cameras integrated directly into the labeller to check both the labelling quality and the best-before date on each individual Zwettl bottle.
From Euro containers to ale and NRW bottles of various sizes and from crown caps to screw closures: the inspection and fill management systems cope perfectly with the wide variety of brands offered by the traditional Lower Austrian private brewery; their exceptional level of automation ensures fast brand and format changes and less downtime.

Also, the HEUFT AUSTRIA team was really fast in implementing its part of the three-year new construction and renovation project: from planning and project management to the successful installation and commissioning of the HEUFT systems, everything was completed within just one year. It can be proud of this.
