The latest release of the HEUFT PRIME now offers even more operational reliability and performance when checking full containers – as well as new functions for a reliable label inspection, closure logo and marking verification.

It was the absolute forerunner: as the first full container check ever it combined an unprecedented level of automation with a self-explanatory audiovisual user guidance years ago – and thus paved the way for the HEUFT SPECTRUM II platform for the 4.0 in-line inspection systems. In the meantime the compact device has grown up with even more computing power, even more performance and even more functionality. That is why it is now also written in capitals: the HEUFT prime has become the HEUFT PRIME!

From now on a clever sensor camera with integrated picture evaluation which has been specifically developed, designed and constructed by HEUFT can be optionally incorporated. The result: significantly more possibilities when checking the quality of freshly filled beverage and food containers. Non-brand lid logos can be identified just as reliably as incorrect and misaligned labels or printed text, best before dates, barcodes, 2D codes, part and batch numbers which are technically faulty or inaccurate as regards contents. It now also deals with challenging optical inspection, OCR and verification functions straight away which the highly automated full container check could not offer up to now.

High degree of automation and extensive assistance

And that without compromising the proven detections! Whether fill level detection with X-ray or high frequency technology, bottle burst detection or label presence and closure check: the HEUFT PRIME continues to do what the HEUFT prime could already do! This includes above all a very special function (besides the level of automation and audiovisual user guidance) which makes it stand out from the particularly slim new HEUFT ONE entry-level device: it not only detects the slightest deviations in the nominal filling quantity during a fill level detection of up to 72,000 containers per hour but also assigns them to the valve which caused the respective fault – due to a connection to the filling machine. This makes the so-called locator an effective tool for preventive maintenance which is only surpassed by the extensive filler and closer management of the HEUFT SPECTRUM II VX premium system.

The position of the detection units of the HEUFT PRIME adapt themselves automatically to the changed container format during brand and program changes and the user benefits from extensive step-by-step assistance with voice output. The audiovisual HEUFT NaVi user guidance also helps him individually during sampling and test container programs with clear instructions. At the same time HEUFT checkPoints light up on the few components where manual intervention may still be needed. This makes it possible to identify them fast and purposefully in order to avoid lengthy standstills. A rapid login with personalised access rights via RFID card ensures that the respective user only sees and carries out what he can and should. The result: maximum operational and manipulation reliability when checking the quality of freshly filled food containers precisely.

Optimised performance and extended functionality

Remote maintenance for the compact device is possible via the HEUFT TeleService just as the specific acquisition of production data due to a network connection. The HEUFT ISI isochronous serial interface allows the easy integration of additional components with minimum wiring. Thus it is still possible, for example, to retrofit the intelligent new sensor camera afterwards.
The grown up HEUFT PRIME with considerably optimised performance and extended functionality places itself exactly between the particularly space-saving HEUFT ONE for an affordable entry to a full container check and the fully automatic, self-explanatory HEUFT SPECTRUM II VX premium fill management system for the comprehensive in-line quality assurance of up to 99,000 containers per hour.
