Deep insights for full drug safety

HEUFT SYSTEMTECHNIK GMBH will be presenting the wide range of applications of its pulsed X-ray technology for the in-line inspection of various pharmaceutical products with a live demo at the Pharma Congress in Neuss at the beginning of April.

It is an established meeting place for the pharmaceutical industry across the whole of Europe and at the same time one of the most important international forums for sharing experiences on important industry issues such as GMP / FDA compliance and drug safety:  the Pharma Congress Production & Technology 2019 in Neuss near Düsseldorf brings together specialist presentations, case studies and current project examples under one roof at the beginning of April.

The live demos integrated into the congress programme will ensure genuine practical relevance with leading suppliers bringing new concepts and technologies to life.  HEUFT will of course be there too!  The supplier of innovative in-line inspection systems will show what it has to contribute to the topic "ECA Modern Sterile Operations – 100% Control of Parenterals" at the end of the first day of the congress on 9 April at 17:00.

Careful API X-ray inspection

This includes a special radiometric procedure, among other things, which makes risks to drug safety visible so carefully that an X-ray inspection of preparations with active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) is also possible.  The spectrum of applications of the pulsed X-ray technology, available exclusively from HEUFT, in the pharmaceutical sector ranges from a particle detection in vials to the identification of pre-filled syringes with bent cannulas or pierced needle guards.  The HEUFT eXaminer II XB, the top-down inspector of the new generation, will be used as an example during the live demo to show how well and safely this functions with the lowest level of radiation.
