Bundled competence for flawless BFS ampoules!

HEUFT and Nikka Densok now offer a joint solution for complete packaging and drug safety in the blow-fill-seal process.

When it comes to the optical quality inspection of each individual primary pack, the German company HEUFT SYSTEMTECHNIK GMBH already has 45 years of expertise. The same applies to Nikka Densok LTD from Japan, the pioneers of high-voltage leak testing. The two leading suppliers have now combined their competences in order to realise both during the in-line quality inspection of blow fill seal ampoules:

The combination of the HEUFT spotter II BFSA and the HDI series Pinhole Inspector from Nikka Densok enables what Annex 1 of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) has prescribed since August 2023: 100 percent Container Closure Integrity Testing (CCIT) of every single ampoule card.

Full-coverage optics, precise high-voltage detection

From foreign particles in the ampoule to deformed caps, black spots and inclusions to crack, it detects everything that threatens pack and drug safety in the blow fill seal process for liquid preparations such as small volume parenteral (SVP) or eye drops.

Optical identifiable faults are recognized during the full-coverage inspection of the bundled ampoule strips with the HEUFT spotter II BFSA. The Pinhole Inspector from Nikka Densok reliably detects micro leaks .

Joint complete solution

The two technology leaders can now provide their customers in the pharmaceutical industry with a joint complete solution. In addition to cosmetic faults, it identifies all critical defects that can occur in the blow fill seal process of ampoule cards.

The new combination of the HEUFT spotter II BFSA and the Pinhole Inspector from Nikka Densok's HDI series will be showcased for the first time at ACHEMA from 10 to 14 June 2024 – at the HEUFT stand 3.1 / C57 on the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. And from 11 to 13 November, it will be the focus of an in-house seminar at the HEUFT Customer Centre in Burgbrohl. If you want to learn more about this and other innovations for full packaging and drug safety, it's best to make a note of both dates already!
