Brau Beviale: HEUFT is the innovative driving force of the industry!

Word has got out and that for some time now:  if you want to experience real innovations at Brau Beviale live and in action go directly to HEUFT.  The large crowds on our stand at the capital goods exhibition for the beverage industry in Nuremberg in November last year reflected this accordingly.  Four trend–setting new developments for increased simplicity and precision for the in–line quality assurance of full and empty containers were presented there at the same time.

Dr Thomas Jahnen the Technical Sales Manager at HEUFT SYSTEMTECHNIK GMBH remembers:  "We had our hands full on all three days".  The 180 square metre stand at the Brau Beviale 2011 exhibition was "jam–packed the whole time".  HEUFT was able to increase the amount of contacts made by 6.5% even though the total number of visitors to the trade fair was down by a good 4% compared with the previous year.  On the one hand this was due to the fact that there really was something to see:  whether empty case inspector, fill management system, leakage check, full bottle inspector, conveyor drive, multi–segment rejector or labelling machine – the visitors could examine virtually all the exhibited devices in action.  On the other hand trend–setting new developments were a real crowd puller.
The HEUFT prime, the prototype of a full container check, which scored due to its high degree of automation and the new, especially easy, audiovisual HEUFT NaVi user guidance caused a sensation in particular.  NaVi stands for "natural view" and describes the flat menu structure of the interface which is intuitively easy to understand at a glance.  Operation is child´s play because in addition the system speaks to the user and guides and supports him step by step – for example during brand changeovers.  Consequently a high level of operational reliability is achieved especially along filling lines with frequent changes of staff.  According to Dr Jahnen the prediction that the newly developed device for checking fill level, internal pressure and closure would arouse great interest among the visitors to the exhibition was "completely confirmed".  It will go into production in the spring.

Simply detecting more!

The new HEUFT InLine IX proves that HEUFT still introduces new trends even after more than 20 years of technological leadership as regards the linear inspection of empty bottles and continues to develop the detection accuracy in this field.  As the first system of its kind this world first is not only equipped with proven optical technologies but also with X–ray strobes.  The new development makes faults clearly visible which were difficult to identify or could not be identified at all until now.  These include shell–shaped fractures in the sidewalls, chipping on the edge of the base and in particular glass splinters surrounded by residual liquid inside the bottle.  Numerous visitors confirmed that the new X–ray EBI represents the state of the art and that this solution would be the only choice in the future.
The response to the new HEUFT canLine empty can inspector and the HEUFT TORNADO R flex wrap–around labeller with servo–controlled bottle alignment was just as positive.  The HEUFT exhibition team was also able to record a strongly growing demand with regard to the full container inspection field.  The HEUFT eXaminer XO, which was also presented live, is just perfect for this because it combines optical and radiometric procedures and identifies, among other things, damage and contamination stuck to the glass in addition to foreign objects.  Premium bottlers and drinks producers, with a great diversity of brands, were extremely interested in the high–precision label inspection which the HEUFT FinalView FO carries out on oval and angular containers.  The acoustic bottle burst detection of the HEUFT VX as well as tools for a bottle flow without gaps and free of impact pressure also belonged to the highlights of the range at Brau Beviale.

Dr Jahnen is pleased:  "We also had several customers at the Brau Beviale exhibition who specifically addressed projects, shook hands with us and assured us –  yes, we´ll do it with you!"  The first definite business deals were already signed and sealed on the stand.  Another positive result of the exhibition is the fact that we are increasingly being regarded by the industry as an innovative driving force.  It was often said:  "If there is something new to see at the Brau then it can be seen on the HEUFT stand".
