Experience the next generation of true A.I. inspection technology!
Our technologies for quality inspection in the filling and packaging process have long been simply smart. And for more than ten years, they have been equipped with real AI, which we are continuously developing.
This applies to our own hardware and software for smart image processing, which is now reaching the next stage of development. And just as much for superior optics and sensor technology as well as unique X-ray and digitizing applications. Defects are thus reliably detected and clearly distinguished from harmless deviations.
For example, our AI filters out drops of water on the bottle from the detection images. And makes visible what is behind it. In this way, only what needs to come out is filtered out. Detection accuracy increases, the false rejection rate decreases - and with it the waste of valuable beverages and packaging materials.
With increasing variety, this increases the output of entire filling lines, conserves resources, reduces costs, meets the quality demands of consumers, and sustainably protects the image of your products!
MORE THAN JUST LOOK OVER IT!
Simply filter out harmless drops of water. And even see what is behind them. The HEUFT reflexx A.I. makes real-time image processing smarter than ever. Up with the detection accuracy! Down with the false rejection rate! An end to the senseless waste of product and packaging!

Patented rainbow color illumination
The innovative special illumination in the colors of the rainbow now makes even the smallest chippings and shell fractures on the outer edge of the mouth of clear glass bottles much easier to detect. It clearly distinguishes harmless water droplets from tablet blisters or glass shards in the bottle. At drinktec 2022, you can even try out for yourself exactly what all this brings.

Efficiently controlled container transport
No sustainability without efficiency. Only those who use resources sensibly and efficiently reduce the CO2 footprint and increase the productivity of entire filling lines. Only a seamless container flow without jams and blockages as realized by the HEUFT synchron with the conveyor control and higher-level line control is therefore truly sustainable.

New fill level check
Too little is cheating the customer, too much means giving away valuable products in parts. When filling beverages, the most important factor is therefore an exact fill quantity. And an X-ray fill level check which reliably detects both overfilling and underfilling in one and the same working process. HEUFT has developed it – and has already installed it successfully.

False rejection rate down, sustainability up!
Conserving resources instead of wasting them. This is what sustainability means! We have therefore reduced the false rejection rate when detecting glass in glass from 1 to 0.2% over the last 15 years. And with the HEUFT eXaminer II XOS which we will be presenting at drinktec it will be reduced even further - thanks to the latest X-ray technology and real AI!

Remote support with live streaming
Simply more resource-saving and sustainable not only in times of a pandemic: the new HEUFT TeleService live now not only makes maintenance work from a distance including audio and video streaming possible but also remote audits and even remote commissioning! The experienced service technician has secure remote access to all modules, parameters, operating data, messages and signals without the need for costly, CO2-intensive travel. In addition to this he can now get a real picture of the actual state of the respective HEUFT system at the customer’s site and even listen into it in order to identify and solve potential problems even more quickly and efficiently. We will be pleased to show you how this works and what the benefits are at drinktec 2022!

Equipment and know-how for sorting empties
Empties shortage. Bottlers of refillable containers know the problem. At the same time, delivery times and prices for new glass are on the rise. And individual bottles are being used more and more often, so that the variety of containers is also increasing – and with it the degree of mixing and the sorting effort. This makes a consistent sorting concept and up-to-date equipment for sorting and upright rejection of non-brand and faulty bottles all the more important. HEUFT offers both from a single source and will present the HEUFT SPECTRUM II SX empty bottle sorting system with the innovative HEUFT preWash II module live at the drinktec exhibition amongst other things!

Tethered cap inspection on a HEUFT level
New closure shapes present new challenges for closure inspection. This also applies in particular to so-called tethered caps, which will soon become compulsory throughout the EU for PET bottles and composite carton packaging. HEUFT accepted the challenge – and mastered it so that the HEUFT FinalView II CAP can now even inspect asymmetrical tethered caps with special features without gaps all round and thus makes the closure integrity future-proof. You can see for yourself at drinktec 2022!

New generation closure inspection
Where others can recognize nothing the further developed HEUFT FinalView II CAP recognizes even the smallest nicks. And that is a good thing! After all such nicks which are hardly visible to the naked eye can be quite sharp-edged in metallic screw caps – and in the worst case lead to injuries when opening the bottle. In addition, the freshness, quality and shelf life of their contents are put at risk. Even horizontal nicks and cuts which are less than a millimetre small are reliably identified with innovative special illumination and smart HEUFT reflexx A.I. image processing – for example at the mineral water producer Gerolsteiner. And of course we will also be showing the further developed HEUFT FinalView II CAP for the all-round closure inspection at drinktec 2022!

Smart ACL bottle inspection
Verifying the presence of Applied Color Labels has already been working for a long time when inspecting empty ACL bottles with HEUFT Inline II systems. Thanks to filters based on artificial intelligence they can even be partially or completely faded out in order to also examine the areas between such branded labels without any gaps. A brand new feature is the smart special optics, which can now also be used to precisely inspect each individual ACL itself to detect cracks, tears, scuffing, inclusions, soiling, misprints, or non-brand labels, logos and colorations. Even in difficult cases, this now enables a truly full-coverage all-surface inspection of empty ACL bottles without any blind spots. You can get an impression of this for yourself at drinktec!

Shoulder view during empty can inspection
If you want to move into the fast lane on the highway, you shouldn't forget the shoulder view. It also provides simply more safety on other high-speed routes – for example in filling lines for beverage cans: During empty can inspection, a precise shoulder view ensures full coverage so that faulty containers are detected and rejected even before filling and sealing. We will be happy to show you how well this works at drinktec!
